Knife Angel

The Knife Angel  is a contemporary sculpture formed of 100,000 knives created by artist Alfie Bradley and the British Ironworks Centre, based in Oswestry, England.
Completed in 2018, the structure of the angel stands at 27 ft (8.2 m) tall.And weights an impressive 3.5 tonnes.

It took just over 2 years to construct and create.

Some of the blades have been engraved with m​essages from the families that have lost a love one from knife crime. Other blades were inscribed with messages of disbelief at how bad knife crime is in this country. Some blades were even inscribed with messages of forgiveness and regret from ex-offenders who have since learnt the errors of their ways.

Liverpool was the very first place to Host the knife Angel.

The Knife Angel was in Southend on sea in July 2024 and will be going to Luton in August and Haverhill in September and Perth in December.

Other dates are to be comfirmed. 

It has been already been to Tauton, Bury, Leeds, Colchester, Carlise, Slough, Crewe, Weston Super Mare, Bolton, Wrexham, Chelmsford and many other places.
