Southend Street Pastors had a fantastic opportunity to be invited to give a presentation at the Rotary Club of Southend on Wednesday, July 16th. The team comprised John, the coordinator, Pauline Trestee, and our newly appointed prayer coordinator, Catherine. Our secretary, Debbie, organised the meeting. John gave the whole presentation, explaining what the Street Pastors do in serving our community with the help of Pauline.
John covered the following subjects
1, Welcome
2, Southend 25
3, Listening, Caring and helping
4. Why do we go into the local pubs and Clubs
5, 2023 to 2025 Statistics
6, Southend Street Pastors working with our partners in Southend for a safer Southend
7, The Church in Action
8, who can be a Street Pastor
9, Street Pastor Training
10, Nighttime Patrol in Southend
11, Daytime Patrols
12, Today's World
13, What Prayer Means to the Street Pastors
14 questions and answers

After we finished the presentation, we were kindly invited to join the Rotarians for dinner, and the meeting took place at the Holiday Inn, Southend. During dinner, I had the opportunity to answer many questions, and we had the chance to put up our display and Banners to explain the ministry on how we serve our community and our City.
Southend Street Pastors have been serving the community since 2005, and we have recently celebrated 20 Years serving with a church service held at St John's Church in Southend. The service was conducted by the Reverend Mike Walker and our Chairman, John Simmons, along with a birthday party.
Southend Street Pastors are a shining light in the darkness and a presence in the community.
